Brittania March 2019 cruise
Have cruised with P&O many times before and feel that whilst the standards are still good and represent value for money, I could no longer say they are excellent. Anytime dining resulted in a long wait most evenings for a table for 2. More tables for 2 required or don’t offer this service if it cannot be delivered. Alternatively, allow passengers on anytime dining to book a table at a particular time as other cruise lines do. Excellent experience in the Epicurean but, awful food in the Beach House.

The cruise was very enjoyable, but the ships design falls short.
Service was excellent from cabin stewards to dining waiters. The ship did not have any undercover open deck areas. All other ships we have been on have promenade decks. Films shown in the studio invariably not repeated later in the evening or in cabins and badly designed, seat staggering poor. Paid for film channel in cabins. Paid for area in the retreat. Library small, stuck out of the way at the end of a row of cabins.

The accommodation and upkeep was excellent and the food and restaurant service also excellent and Sindhu well worth a visit. Our favourite evening location was the Crows Nest again impressive service and superb cocktails. I was not impressed by the lift service and associated wait often seeing lifts bypass the floor on which a call had been made. Also as this was our first Britannia cruise was surprised that not all decks flowed through the ship and you would come to a dead end again frustrating.
