Baltimore and Exclusive Harbour Cruise

Capture the views of Baltimore from the Top of the World Observation Deck, combined with a delightful harbour cruise.

Just a short drive from the pier will take you to the Inner Harbour, location of the World Trade Centre. Here, you’ll visit the Top of the World Observatory Deck which offers superb 360 degree views of the city’s skyline. The Observatory Deck is located on the 27th floor, and you’ll be whisked up by elevator for your viewing experience.

Once you’re back down on ground level, follow your guide for a short walk along the bustling Inner Harbour to join your boat for a harbour cruise.

Sit back and relax, and enjoy the surrounding waterside scenery. Look out for the city attractions such as the iconic Domino Sugar sign, Fort McHenry, the Key Bridge, Fells Point and the USS Constellation. Your cruise will end back at Inner Harbour where you can enjoy some free time, before re-joining your coach back to the pier.

This excursion will operate by coach, boat and on foot. The harbour cruise is exclusive to P&O Cruises. There are steps to negotiate to board the boat and to reach the 2nd deck. The cruise lasts around 1 hour. Refreshments are available for purchase on board and there are toilet facilities. This tour requires around 45 minutes of leisurely walking. Flat, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Baltimore Panorama

A leisurely option that provides a lovely overview of what Baltimore has to offer.

Setting off from the pier, sit back and enjoy a panoramic drive that will take in the highlights of Baltimore.

Along the way, there will be plenty of photo opportunities including Fort McHenry, made most notable by its large 30 by 42 foot American Flag, Fells Point, Mt Vernon Place and the Washington Monument. The monument was the first formal tribute to the nation’s first President. You’ll see the grave of Edgar Allan Poe, the famous American writer, who is best known for his poetry and short stories, and Camden Yards, home to Baltimore’s baseball park.

As you ascend Federal Hill, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of Baltimore's skyline, before heading down to view the Inner Harbour and returning to the pier.

Mount Pleasant Golf Club

Enjoy a round of golf at Baltimore’s Mount Pleasant Golf Club.

Mount Pleasant is a favourite for players looking for a challenge of classic design and it was here that Arnold Palmer secured his second US victory. Designed by Gus Hook, the course was opened in 1933.

Here, you’ll have around 5 hours to play a round of 18 holes. The course has an onsite club house if you wish to purchase a snack or refreshments.

Essential information

This excursion will operate by coach and on foot. Children are not permitted to participate on this tour. Green fees and, round trip transportation are included. Clubs and golf carts are available to hire and payable directly on the day. Golf trollies are available free of charge and can be requested on the day. Players must wear proper golf attire and hard spike shoes are not permitted, only soft spikes. Players may use the club house facilities, refreshments are not included but can be purchased on the day. Please remember to take local currency.

The Best of Baltimore

Discover the highlights of Baltimore, often referred to as ‘Charm City’.

Just a short drive from the pier is Fort McHenry, Baltimore’s national monument and historic shrine with its notable American flag. Strategically located at the entrance to the harbour, the imposing star-shaped Fort features cannons, barracks, a jailhouse, armaments and an interesting visitor’s centre. On a self-guided tour, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the Fort and learn of its historical importance.

Any visit to Baltimore must include the World Trade Centre’s Top of the World Observation Deck, which offers breathtaking views of the city’s skyline. Elevators will whisk you up to the 27th floor, where you’ll enjoy a superb 360 degree view of the city. Afterwards, you can enjoy some free time at the bustling Inner Harbour, perhaps browse the shops or simply enjoy the pleasant views.

During your tour, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the city, passing by sites such as Baltimore’s Washington Monument, a 178-foot obelisk honouring the first President, the Fells Point area steeped in maritime tradition, and the colourful neighbourhoods that have defined the character and personality of Baltimore.

Washington On Your Own

Discover the wonderful city of Washington at your own leisure.

Following a drive from the pier, you’ll arrive in Washington, where you’ll have around 4 hours of free time to spend as you please.

Perhaps head to the Lincoln Memorial or take in in the DC Memorials, which offer a poignant reminder of those who fell. You may want to view the White House or the Washington Memorial or perhaps take in one of the many museums. The city offers plenty of shopping opportunities and you’ll find many cafés and restaurants where you can purchase snacks and refreshments.

At the end of your visit, you’ll meet at the designated time and place for the return drive to Baltimore.
